Atreyun is a forgotten god of vengeance. As such, a major theme for him is pre-Christian religion and religious faith. Another key element of this character is the idea of divine retribution. Atreyun was called upon by those who felt wronged and/or that justice had failed them. His punishment often comes in the form of great violence (in which he revels). At later points in his timeline, there may also be inclusion of cult elements.
